Once upon a time, from a faraway land,
came a visionary of fashion, a Pink Suitcase in hand.
She met a young lady, with grace and with style,
And together they looked to stay for a while.
They made their homes in an enchanted small town,
And set up a shop, bringing new trends around.
They travel to markets with plans in their heads,
To bring back the latest and greatest new threads.
The fashion is high, but the prices are low,
Come see for yourself, and you'll soon come to know,
They have what you need, and can help you define
The style that makes you ONE OF A KIND!
Co-owners Emilie Nichols and Sarah Gollier had one goal when they opened The Pink Suitcase in 2010: to bring the distinctive and unique fashions of big cities to the Midwest, at affordable prices. The two utilize every inch of their 900 square foot boutique, located at 312B S. Main Street in Ottawa, Kansas, to display the latest and greatest trends in dresses, tops, jeans, accessories, handbags, jewelry and more. All the merchandise comes from apparel markets across the country, and has been hand-picked by them for their customers.
"We basically pick the stuff we love," said Emilie. "We have two very different styles, so we end up having a wide variety of options...something for everyone.
Emilie describes her style as "funky, casual," whereas Sarah is self-described as "flowery and feminine". Both said their favorite part of running The Pink Suitcase is helping people find their own style.
"We want people to find the style that makes them feel fabulous," Sarah said. "We have clothes for every body type, and can help people find the pieces that compliment them."
High fashion at affordable prices in the Midwest! A fairy tale?
Nope, this is a true story!
